"What is Apoc.Py??"

Apoc.Py is an open source text based RPG written in Python.  It takes inspiration from classic "CRPGs" and is intended to run in a terminal.  Explore and scavenge to survive, craft weapons and tools, claim and manage land, and become king of the world's end, all in a tiny, text-based package.

"What's Next?"

Many more features are currently in game, but incomplete or buggy.  Here's a list of what's needed, although much more will be added.

- Job and Mayoral system is in game, but is incomplete and currently only functions as role play.

-The time system doesn't currently work as intended, causes bugs in aging, war updates, and more.  

- The stats screen currently displays values that aren't yet tied to gameplay mechanics, making some useless.

- Quite a few bugs

- Crafting system needs expanding

- Diplomacy system needs expanding

- More used for crafted items

"Are You Still Updating This?"

Yes, you can expect weekly updates posted here on Itch.io.  

"How do I run it?"

Because this is an open source project, the download file provided is a pure .py file.  You will need to have Python 3 on your system.  If on PC, you can install Python for free.  If on mobile, use PyDroid, a python interpreter and ide for Android.  Future versions will be hosted in browser but for now it's only a .py file.

"Can I Use This Code For Anything I Want?"

Yes.  This is a free open source project that anyone may use in any way they wish.  I am making it purely for fun.  Use it as a starting point to make your own text rpg, update it and release your own version, mod it to make yourself invincible, or do whatever you like.

"Can I Contribute?"

Yes.  Anyone who would like to add anything to the code can DM me and I'd add their addition to the game.
