.TXT Maker (for GameMaker: Studio)

TXT Maker is a text editor written in GML for GameMaker Studio Projects.

This package intends to help anyone who needs the functionality of a basic text editor incorporated into their GameMaker project.  

GameMaker Studio's built in functionality for allowing players to write and edit text is relatively weak compared to comparable engines.  This  project allows you to use your valuable dev time working on other features, instead of "reinventing the wheel"  by coding your own text editor.  

FEATURES:

"WHAT CAN I USE THIS PROJECT FOR?":

-  Incorporate a text editor into any GameMaker Studio game with little effort, using the code included in this project.

- As an example to load and save files to the local disk using GameMaker Studio

-  As a starting point, to add onto to create your own custom text or code editor.

- Or, if you wish, simply use the text editor to take notes, write basic code, or anything you wish.  When you're finished writing, just click "Save" and the file will be saved to your local disk.

This project also includes an art editor, which can save and load .png images to/from your PC!
